Flowtimer stores the minimum information necessary to provide timing, synchronization, and analytics features.
Solve data, scrambles, and basic account details are used to deliver the service and improve your experience.
What we collect
- Account information (e.g., email) to authenticate your session.
- Solve history and related metadata to compute statistics.
- Device and usage information for reliability and performance.
How we use your data
- To provide core timing and analytics features.
- To sync your data across devices you use.
- To detect, prevent, and resolve issues with the service.
Third-party services (analytics and monitoring)
We rely on trusted service providers to monitor reliability and understand how the app is used so we can improve it:
- PostHog (Product Analytics) — collects usage events (e.g., which features are used), basic device/browser information,
performance metrics, and referral/UTM data. Where supported, IP addresses are truncated/anonymized. Cookies or similar identifiers
may be used to understand returning usage patterns. We avoid sending sensitive personal content and only use this data in aggregate
to improve Flowtimer.
- Sentry (Error Monitoring) — collects error and crash reports including stack traces, timestamps, app version, and basic request context
(such as URL path and user agent) to help us diagnose issues. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data through Sentry.
However, identifiers (like account ID or email) might appear in error context if present in logs or messages; we make efforts to minimize
or scrub such data.
Data retention and deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated solve data at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data and solve history will be permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable time period.
